DIgital Rebel when?

I called B&H and they said they would not be shipping the new digital rebel until November around thanksgiving time. I wanted to get it for a good friend as a gift so I placed the order and will be waiting for them to ship it to me. Why so long I am not sure the canon rep said it would ship by the end of this month.

Just because something ships from the factory, it does not mean that it will be flying off the retailer shelves the next day.

Channels of distribution take time.

Some retailers like to be the very first store to offer the product and at the lowest price, but they get the craziest customers. Other retailers like to hang back a month and take care of the more professional customers who don't suffer a 50% rate of buyer's remorse.
