This has probably been posted before...
This looks extremely promissing. Looking at his photo's, they seem very evenly lit. Haven't built it, but I will.
From playing around, I have had some luck by placing a sticker over the flash (for shots where lens wont shaddow).

Too bad it looks funny :) Maybe some paint would fix it up a bit.
