Anyone have any experience with the Canon EF 35-350L and the D-30?? Please give positives and negatives for this combination. Can the 35-350 be used with the Canon extenders?

I purchased a used 35-350, and it is the best lens I ever bought. It covers such a wide range that I can't take it off of my camera. If you don't mind the weight, this lens will work well. I shoot professional football, and It is the only lens I use. Low light and indoors can be tough, but I still haven't missed a shot with it. By the way, if you use it on the D30, it changes to a 56-560mm lens (because of the 1.6x conversion). If you go to the link at the bottom of this reply, you can check out some of the shots I've taken. All of the football shots are don with this lens. As you can see from the photos, It is not that far off the big L lenses.
