Anyone use Pormaster flash wiht D30

I know it is kind of wire, but I still try to hold my Pormaster flash (FTD 5700) for a while after I almost go bankrupt by getting D30. It worked pretty well with my other ESO body, however, I never be able to fire it with my new D30? Any one may have similar experience and solution?
