Hi! Two days ago I got the 3.2MP Canon Ixus II, and I'm thrilled with it so far. I was just wondering if there are any tips for taking good night photos, of say, lit up city buildings etc, apart from the obvious tips (turn flash off, use tripod, ISO 400). Is there a specific nighttime mode?

Thanks

It is more or less all what is important to know about the IXUS 400. The same should be valid for The IXUS II.

Have especially a look at the "Long shutter mode" section. You need to switch you camera into the manual mode, then you have to activate "Long shutter" in the menu and you will be able to switch to Long shutter mode by pressing "Set" when you are in the exposure compensation (this way it works on the IXUS 400, see your camera's manual for how to do it on the IXUS II).
