I searched all the forums and while there are a lot of feedback posts for business cards, no one is recomending where they get their printing done.
There are a ton of choices at a wide range of costs...who do you use?

I did a search on this and came up with overnightprints.com Now that I have the cards, I am not very happy. I had a teal/blue color in the background that came out completely purple. I am still waiting to hear about getting a replacement. Before sending the print, I did a test on photo paper at home. The blue was right on. The preview on their site, the color is correct, but not the print.
I got some samples and other feedback on www.gotprint.com
The samples are pretty impressive, and so is their pricing for 250+ cards. The only downside is the turnaround looked a tad long.

Thanks for the info. The metal cards are a little to expensive for where I am at right now, but I bookmarked them for future reference..

I used http://www.vistaprint.com and they seemed fine. You can design your own or use one of their designs. The price seemed reasonable to me.

I've got a really nice low-end pro-sumer A3 printer so I print out a ton of 8-up on cardstock and get them cut at Kinko's for like $18. Actually works really well for me.

I use a local full service printer, although he is likely more expensive than a Kinko's, Office Max.
He just prints one custom color on a heavy cream color woven card stock. The printing is also thermographed - a special ink is used which actually "raises up" after the cards are printed an then run through a heated dryer. You can actually feel a 3-D texture to the printing.
The other reason I use an actual printer is because he prints matching envelopes and letterhead the same time the cards are produced. This looks especially nice when I mail quotes and brochure material out to potential customers.

I use iprint.com. I had them make me 250 double-sided cards, with a photo front and single color back, for $20

That sounds like pretty good pricing for one side that's a full color photo. Are you pleased with the overall quality and consistency? - Stu

I also use www.vistaprint.com (http://www.vistaprint.com) They're not the cheapest but they've done an excellent job both times I 've ordered from them and they're always having sales and discounts so it's works out pretty good.

I went through staples. Sounds cheesy, but I wanted something very plan and crisp. 1k for $20.

Not cheesy at all - Staples has some pretty nice stuff; it'll get the business up and running! ;)

Yes, they are full-resolution, high-quality color images, on a business card. If I hadn't put my business name in the photo, I think people would be stealing them to frame for their walls. (in very small frames, of course)

The last time I used overnightprints.com they took 2 weeks LOL, but the cards look perfect! This was the second time I used them and I will probably use them again.
1000 cards, glossy on both sides with rounded corners cost around 75 bucks.
People always comment on how nice the card looks

Check out http://www.greatfxbusinesscards.com/. I've been using them for about 2 years now. The thing I like about them is that you can upload PS files to them. I've been very happy with the results and the turn around isn't too bad.
