Has anyone noticed that their CB-5L charger, which came with their 10D does not fully charge the BP-511?
I have a Canon G1 ( yes, a bit dated now ) but its playing a dual role of a Point & Shoot and as a great BP-511 charger, pumping up the battery by another 10%.
I am using 3 different Bp-511s.

I was just about to post something similar!
I don't trust the charger. I've been using my trusty G1 to charge the batteries. With the G1, I know exactly when the battery's fully charged. With the CB-5L, there's no clear indication. The light just stays red, presumably indicating 100% charged but then I stick the battery in the G1 and I can charge even more.
Problem is though, my brother's inheriting my G1 so no more "expensive charger". For me, a fully charged BP-511 has always seemed to last forever. With just the CB-5L I won't be so sure anymore.
Anyone else with a similar experience?
Is there any way to fully charge the BP-511 with the CB-5L? I've been leaving the battery on the charger for an extra hour or two but I don't know...

That's correct, the CB-5L's led is continuous at 90% charge. Supposedly that is to indicate "ready to use" is case you needed a rapid charge, but to get full charge, according to the manual, you must leave it on for an extra hour after continuous led.
Strange but true.
