Adjusting focus manually seems to be hit-or-miss. The bar graph in the LCD seems to jump wildly as I twiddle the Main Dial.
How does one manually set the focus with any accuracy? I've tried to make a hyperfocal preset on C1 but how does one know that the focus is set to 6 ft and not to 5.5 or 7 ft? I know that it doesn't make much difference at f/5.6, but if I want to focus manually at a larger aperture, things get a bit dodgy.
The G3's manual focus feature is no substitute for a lens focus ring. How does one compensate for this?
