It was not my intent to pick a fight when I posted the image logo thread. I recieved what I felt were legitimate critique and honest opinions. I also recieved , what I felt were un-called for, personal attacks that didn't have any legitimate reasons.
I was under the impression that this forum was designed to ask questions and seek advice pertaining to digital photography.
Perhaps I am mistaken as to the intent of this forum.
Probably it would be best if I look for another avenue to seek advice, as I don't intend to participate in a battle of verbal wit each time I look for advice or critique.
I'm very sorry if I offended anyone with this post or my replies to the responses.

Oh, come on, the majority of the people here is nice. This being a voluntary forum, there is no way to guarantee that every participant will be nice to every post.
As long as one does not attach any ego to one's post, everything will be fine. I learned a lot of things from other posts and participants during the past 2 months. Based on imperfect information, I also made comments that apparently offended others.
Most of us, if not all, welcome your posts. Any harsh criticism on one's pics may be what one's customers or friends might want to say but cannot. This forum is an incredible learning device. So one can learn a lot from the responses, as long as one does not take himself too seriously.
The best thing is all these comments are free. If we have to pay the respondents at their going rates, we probably cannot afford them.
So, relax, and whenever you fill like jumping in, please do so. It is warm here, but sometimes there is a fast current that throws you off. But I am sure you know how to swim.

Only 27 posts (of which a few initiated) and then such a comment on this forum?
Guess some people are faster (and more sensitive) than others.

Just because I don't have a lot of post doesn't mean I am not reading and enjoying the Q&A.
You guys are right, I was being over sensitive and re-active to the forum, and the way it works.
Thanks for the advice and encouragement.
If anyone would like to see the Photo I posted on the deleted thread,(with-out the logo) let me know.

Great, Dave.
You will enjoy what this forum jas to offer. You will also appreciate the technology of providing a forum to pro and amateur phtographers. (Thanks to Pekka!)
If it were possible, many kings even 200 years ago would gladly swap their places with you as a photographer. Kings may have enjoyed lots of good food and other privileges, but they had no TV, no movies, no Internet, and no photography.
But improved technology requires higher capacity to handle additional responsibilities and increased tolerance to appreciate differences among us. If you get too much criticism, just have a drink and take a nap. Everything looks much more pleasant after a nap. Besides, if you were doing nothing or anything insignificant, no one would criticize you.

David:
It doesn't pay to be too thin-skinned, especially in a venue where people can post messages anonomously. I think what you've seen is the vast majority of people that participate in this forum are thoughtful, courteous, and dedicated to sharing their insights and experience with each other. Don't be put off by an obnoxious minority that never learned the most basic tenets of common courtesy. They are generally loud (figuratively) and 'in your face.' They hide behind their anonimity, and are probably social cowards.
You hang in with us, keep posting your questions, comments, and opinions. We value you and what you have to say. This applys to everyone, by the way.

Damphyne,
I will say this,. my prior experiences in online forums have been somewhat less "gruff" than what you can sometimes run into on this forum.
People here can be very strongly opinionated and come off as harsh. In fact,. don't let them fool you,. they are harsh! :D
But, that is part of the value here. Some of those with strong opinions that don't hold your hand during a visit are the same individuals that may teach you the most.
In the long run,. this forum rocks and the people that take the time to answer a query, whether they do it gently or smack you around a little, have a lot to offer. Like anything in life it is up to you to decide what you wantt to take home from the experience.
Stick around and don't let the barking scare you too much. :)

That is a good question.
Depends on which end of the camera you're looking at, I guess.
