I like it,. but i think you tried to get too much into one image in this case. It is overexposed in the sky,. but that is of no concern as in truth, the top should be cropped down to well below the treeline eliminating the sky all together,.

I would crop the top and bottom,. at the bottom cut off any sign of the path,. and yet try and leave as much of the rock in as possible.

....at the top cut it off where the garden ends,. leave a little of the trees in back, in fact crop to just above the the evergreen in the left center. You may also need to take sonme off of the right hand side.

Once you reduce this o a study of the garden and pool,. it will be a nice image indeed!

I agree with the comments made by CDS. I would return if possible, and look for an interesting element I wanted to highlight, and build a picture around that. Make sure that takes a prominent place in the image, with good supporting compositional elements. There are several possibilities in this photo, depending on what moves you.

Agree with the comments. There is just too much in this shot. Colors can use a little boost as well.
Noticed a strange blur in the left bottom corner (red leaves).

I like this photo, but found the overexposed sky too distracting. Try this one again with the sun coming from a different direction.

I disagree about cropping out the sky - you can't crop out all of the sky without losing your sense of space and trying to make the sky more interesting (gradient fill or such) makes the colours look wrong.

Biggest problem seems to be lack of subject - not exactly sure what you are trying to say about this place. There are a lot of interesting elements but none are particularly emphasized.

Try cropping out a bit of the sky, warming the image up a bit and play with highlights to make one area stand out. In a similar situation pick one thing that you find interesting, make it the focal point and try to have other elements provide a lead-in (path, tree line, water, etc.).

Having said all that :-) I would love to visit this place - you did capture the tranquility, tempered with a level of complexity, that makes this an interesting image.
