But lately all of my pictures have been coming out noisy, really grainy like this

, and im not happy with them. I dont know what it is, its the same camera, im using a canon a610 settings on iso speed 400, set to vivid, center weighted avg., superfine and large pictures. Would it be the ISO thats messing it up? im starting to think it is, would it being set to high cause the picture to be really noisy, the settings are auto-50-100-200-400.

Grain like that is usually caused by high ISO. Try it on ISO 50 with a tripod, if it's better you have your answer. DSLRs are much better at high ISO than compact cameras, because of sensor size and price (ie they cost more to make the good bits).

The picture is as expected for the level of investment. Tim is right, slow it down.

my experience with my A75 and other ISO comparison shots is that its pretty much fine from 50-200, and then suddenly jumps at 400.

Invest in a tripod. It really helps. It's a still subject, so you odn't have to worry about super slow shutter speed.
