And I thought I had that Great Blue Heron tamed!

Well,. Zeeny seems to have a way with wildlife for sure. I have not seen anything quite like this before, the young Cormarant is positively fascinated by young Jaxine.

The level of trust in a normally very timid bird is amazing.

I am told this is not the first wild animal that Zeeny has tamed either,.. I do believe she leads a charmed life!

who is zeeny . who is jaxine. who is cormarant ?
what is this language you speak suddenly :D

just a tiny little pity that that trunk is there right in front of the child, otherwise it would be a great (er) shot

Jaxine = "Zeeny" she is the young lady in the photo,. and other than the fact that she can talk to animals like Dr. Doolittle,I know very little about her. She and her Mother were walking the same shore as I,. and while I was struggling to get a halfway decent photo of some water fowl,. Zeeny decided to show me how it's done!

The bird swam right up to the shore and walked up to her. From a distance I saw this and started shooting.

Eventually Her mother and my presence scared the Cormarant away... but Jaxine was within about 2 feet of the young Cormarant befroe it went back to sea. :)

The second photo should now display,. it is a bit better picture of the young lady,. but still I could only get the over the shoulder view. But look at the birds eyes in this one! It is in love!

Great pictures CDS. I have cormorants in my pond and they are very timid. As soon as I approach them they swim under the water and come up somewhere else in the pond.

Cool pic's!

thank you for explaining cyber
that last picture you posted here must be one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen of its kind
I see exactly what you are talking about in the bird's eyes.

I was looking at another post a few minutes ago when your reply to them hopped in (megawebs)
.. right as I was reading it
another coincidence.
this is really a great picture cds
and would win some competition for the expression alone on that bird's face
its both a worried and a loving look.
beautiful capture

best wishes

CDS-
That second picture is super! I didn't see it before, but wow man. That is incredible. She is like a little Dr. Dolittle. Nice capture man.

Beautiful shots. I particularly like the shot of the bird looking up at the child. Very nice.
