Dose any one know if there is any one in the USA selling these type of russian lenses and if there are any that are wider? I really want a fish eye lens but do not want to spend to much. At the price of $129.00 it will fit the bill. The sigma is a bit much want to spend less. Any info will help thanks.

Slow, given the 1.6 factor, what does 16mm fisheye become with 10D? 25mm fisheye? or something else?
Also, you can post you pics at pbase.com and let us all see them. Free.

I have one that I use with my 10D. I got it as I don't do a lot of wide-angle shots and I wanted something for that rare occassion.
Here are some images I took today (with some distortion correction done in Paint Shop Pro)

This thrid one shows some flare when shooting towards the sun....you can see the direction of the sun from the shadows.

For some reason, the images I take with this lens always come out overexposed...I plan do start dialing in -1 or -2 exposure compensation from now on.

Thanks for all the info. I think that I will get the 8mm fish eye lens as I want more of a rap around effect. With the 1.6 X factor of the 10D it will give me what I am looking for and a $208.00 it is a bargan. Any one know were you can get it for less? I think these lenses are a good bargan.

The only downside is that it wouldn't be a full-frame fisheye.

WIth the 8mm it will be 12mm with the 10D's 1.6 X factor wich will work out ok for now. When canon has a full frame chip it will be even better.

Well, the Zenitar lens you mention is made by Ulkranians. :)
For FE, the crop factor is not exactly translated like rectlinear lenses. The FOV of FE is changed due to crop factor. From one web page I read, a 16mm FE lens would be roughly equvilant to a 19mm full-frame lens on D30/D60/10D/300D after "debarrelization". I could not personally verify this one.
Search around here and you will definitely find plenty of information discussed. :D

Don't forget that the image from the 8mm will be a circular one as opposed to a full 3x2 image!
