Has anyone ever had to return faulty goods to Onestop Digital? If so, how were they at dealing with the situation?

My 50mm 1.8 arrived yesterday, and it's fooked!?!

The motor makes a horrific grinding noise when focusing, kinda like it has sand in it, but ten times worse! I am so gutted... It could be ages before i get it replaced.

have you ever used the 50mm before? it is pretty loud and obnoxious by nature. yours could have just been bad off the line, though I'm betting it was a customer return if it is worse than normal

I haven't used it before, but it's definitely not normal. When i ruined my 35mm film SLR with sand it didn't make this much noise. I'm thinking grinding=very bad.

Well i got my replacement lens today... :D

I ordered a new lens from Onestop so i wouldn't have to wait for them to check the lens, then ship out the replacement. They got mine yesterday, and i got the new one today. They're trying to say that the original isn't faulty, but they will refund me the cost minus £6 postage. I can live with that, even though i know it was faulty (a bit difficult to prove now that they have the lens).

The new lens is great, and i can't wait to take some pics with it, so i guess we're all happy! :D :D :D
