Well thank goodness for this piece of wood. The wind was blowing so bad the other day there was no chance of getting a good shot on any tree branches.

This poor Cardinal was hanging on for all he was worth.

good catch, sometimes i watch them and find it amazing how they can hold on in such wind storms...

Thanks Troy. They are such beautiful birds and I've got so many pictures of them already but I just can't resist taking more.

Very nice capture, certainly shows the force of the wind in that shot.

Thank you Dennis...I thought the wind was going to blow my tripod over for a second there, but then it died down. We've certainly had quite a few windy days lately and it plays heck on bird shots.

This had to have been the same day. I too am addicted to taken Cardinal shots, everyone is probably sick of seeing mine by now.
