hi
I love my A70 but I have a problem.
Videos make a soft, regular "whoosh whoosh" sound in the background on playback.
This is at full resolution mode.
Is my camera faulty ?
cheers

Was there anything close to the camera that might of made noise, or a background that at the time you didn't think twice of?
Ive actualy been able to pick up voices from people on the other end of mobile phone's before.
I have heard of problems with internal noise from the camera but can't remeemebr what it sounded like.

thanks
This happens on every video I take, no matter where I am.
So it must be camera-based - just wondered if this was a "normal" thing with the A70 or if it's faulty ?
cheers

Are you able to take a 160res vid (low file size) just for a second to people can hear the noise fro themselves?
It shouldn't be that noticable everytime.
If it sound's a bit off i'll post just a quick vid so u can donwload it and litsten for it. That way u can go to canon and say here's mine, and someone else's. Why do i have the noise.

hi
Thanks for the advice - I've taken 2 almost identical vids at 640 and 320. Both have the noise on my PC.
The weird thing is that I can't hear the noise either when playing back on camera or on tv.
Is there any where I can post them so people can listen ?
cA70 - can I listen to your example(s) ?
cheers

Well i have one online that i can show you. But the external noise isn't from the camera, but i though its a good vid so i'll show u anyway.
The website its posted at:
http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=9107
Direct link, may/may not work:
http://www.wakepics.com/media/Jump.avi
To upload them, just sign up for some free webhosting space. geocities + brinkster are the ones i use, id recomend www.brinkster.com over goeicities. Then don't wory about the website (and use temp hotmail email u just made up) and upload your video, if it doesn't like the extention .avi, zip it and most accept zips. Then give the direct link to the file in here and we can watch it, we only need a second or two of film.
Will get round to taking one of mine on 160 for ya, will try it late at night so if there's any noise u will be able to hear it.
