best zoom lens for my G3

After having my G3 now for a couple of months , the thing I really need is a good zoom lens. I was in San Diego Zoo and to take a picture of the animals so far away for really a waste of time. No details b/c of the distance.

Which is the best one for me. I understand I have to get some kind of adapter for it too. I have a camcorder and it has 8x zoom and I can get pretty close from far.

Specially, now that my daughter will be in a play and I might be far from the stage.

P.S. Is ebay a good way to get one?

You can get the Canon TC-DC58N,which is equivalent to about 250mm, you do get some vignetting as you zoom out.

You will need a conversion lens adaptor, Canon do one -LA-DC58B, other makes are sold.

I would price them up new first on net/local store and then try Ebay.

Do a search here in the Forum for CrystalVue!

They make an 8x teleconverter.
