I just recently have put a small scratch on my LCD Display on my Canon S45 Camera which I love. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Is this a replaceable part? Are there any procucts to polish the screen?

Also, It seems that the battery life is gradually getting shorter. Is this normal? Should I allow the battery to use all its power before recharging it. I think I should buy a spare.

Thanks

My advice is get a protective cover for the screen
to prevent anymore scratches and you probably wont notice the scratch then. The ones I have are in pack 3
and have fine grid lines.

You should definitely buy a spare for your camera. I've boughten my 3rd one already. (I thought I lost my 2nd so I bought another but then I found it). Its always nice to know you have more power than you need. I rather carry two batteries in my pocket and use only 1.5 then run out of batteries while taking pictures.. so...

Also, when the battery light starts blinking .. you have a decent amount of shooting left. I've taken like 40-50 shots after the little icon started blinking before (I have a S50 though.. but should be similar) Its a pity that theres no battery meter. :|
