First let me get this out in the open... you will find me posting 99% of the time in the macro forum... photographing people is something I am just now starting to try. SO... be gentle :D As I found out last night... it is hard to photograph events/people...composition is a pain! LOL

On to the event.

These kids did a great job dancing last night. The costumes were colorful and they performed very well for their ages... the youngest kids were adorable. I think the little guy inbetween the girls might be 5-6? He did a great job keeping up with the older kids.

Any and all comments welcomed. I'm trying to learn. :)
All shot with the 20D and 70-200L IS... once the sun went down... I stopped shooting. The light/flash(580ex) looked harsh...I didn't like it. I brought the 50mm 1.4 with me... but should have had something to go wider in the shots. Next time! :)

Great photos, I love the girls expression in #1 and the boys expression in #2. The colors are really vivid.

Very, very good! Mariachis are always fun and colorful! I will be putting up a set of pictures of the Mariachi Divas (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=169814) in concert shortly. Thanks for braving the Performing Arts forum!
