Good catch, but clone out the player at the left bottom.

I'm ok with the players there, but the shoes on the side lines are rather odd looking. Better to crop out the shoes and overblown highlight.
Nice action shot. Good catch.

Henk & Stop,
You are both correct - I should have cropped better. Just excited that I finally got a shot like this (with the ball). I focus on the kicker & when the ball is snapped start firing. Have always just missed 'the moment' - I get just before & just after the ball leaves the field of view.
Thanks again for your comments

I also agree - both crops are worth it.
I do quite a lot of sports and action pics and as I have digital (like you) I tend to snap away a second or two before I think something may happen and just keep my finger on the button.
You get a lot of rubbish, but you can delete it straight away.
Sometimes the buffer runs out before the critical moment.
But I reckon on average that my hit rate for the right moment is improved.

Great shot CT.
I agree with taking out the feet and cloning the heads in the corner.

And people say digital cameras are no good for action shots. HA! fantastic stop action and focus is right on I too agree with the shoes at the top, but minor and easy to fix, Where were you standing on the field?? LOL :D

I wish! I tried to get a press pass, no such luck. Shot from the 19th row 1st section on 15 yd line (35 yds downfield)

Wow now I'm even more impressed, great zoom! I would have sworn you were standing on the sideline!

Like others said, a great catch. Both players look very funny. Makes a nice ballet scene ;)
