Wonderfull image. I like it a lot. At this size it was hard to see the duck (I mean, I knew it was there,. but) the image is really the rings in the water.

Great comp here. Just a little tough with the colour. A closer view may have been better but we go with what we have right?

Conk, what are you referring to with "tough with the colour". I realize that it seems very monotone and that some parts might be too dark? Thank you for the comment. :)

I see where you are going with this (I think),

I would like to see the rings in the water defined more clearly, but I am not sure how.

I have a similar sort of pic with some small subtly curved waves and have been trying to make them clearer for some while - with no success.

Perhaps someone can suggest how to increase the definition of the water without losing the subtlety?

Which might work for both this pic and mine.

Sorry, bad choice of words. You are correct with saying
