I haven't posted here in a while. The Krohn Conservatory is hosting it's annual International Butterfly Show. Here are a few of my shots. Let me know what you think. They looked good on one computer and washed out on another. I adjusted them again before I posted.

The background on this was distracting so I converted it to BW.

Thanks, These are some of the best I took. I hope to go back and get some more this coming weekend. They hold a contest and I don't think I've got anything close to even placing. I appreciate the comment.

Beautiful shots! We have a butterfly exhibit here at the Detroit Zoo. I've been wanting to go and take some photos.

Thanks for sharing.........it was a treat.

Great shots. You didn't by chance get a full shot of the moth in #5 did you? Great colors on all the shots! Was the 2nd shot a Bicyclus species (also known as a brown skipper)?

Wizard..... I'm not sure the species. I didn't pick up the flyers that identified each species. I'm going back this weekend and will pick one up. The crop in #5 was actually shot that tight. Here's a full shot. I think I like the crop better. I can tell you it was huge. I'd say 8"-10" from tip to tip of the wings.

Thanks. Alot of the Saturniidae moths are huge. The polyphemus which is a relative of the #5 is typically 5-7in. Looks like you have a Rothschildia here. Nice clear and colorful shot.

I like that one better than the one in the OP Jamey.
