If I go to beach I have a 3 step hoya I use for waterfalls .If I use it for clouds ,sky scenes at beach will it kind of act like cirular polarizer, I will not be able to get cp by then .Would you use ndf to take pics? For 17-85is on XT.Thanks

ND's are used to cut down the light entering the lens, they will not cut out reflective glare like a polariser because they dont polarise the light rays... ND graduated filters can help balance the sky with the foreground but a full ND filter will only slow your shutter speeds down...

Thanks for the quick response .I guess then it is no use at all to use it at beach then.Regards

I never said that, but for general shots on the beach you are right... You can use it near dusk to get the waves to look creamy like the waterfalls by slowing down the shutter speed...
