great series Paul, I like the last shot the best (pose, focus and exposure) and if only there was a little glint reflecting off the birds eye, it would be perfect.

A very nice set of shots i like No1 best as the light catches the eye and adds that bit extra to it .

The bluejays around here are sooo shy, hard to get close to get a picture. You did a great job. Love the first one.
