Trying to shoot these little guys who sit still just enough for you to focus on them but move before you push the shutter is a new challange. But they sure are great looking birds.

Excellent series. Can't choose a favorite here since I like them all. Very well done. :-)

Me too ... I had my first sighting of a Scarlet Tanager on the weekend, but mine was much more skittish than the one you captured. A very well done series.

Thank you for the comments guys.

Ohhh and someone asked... I am located in Mississauga, Ont. and the ST was very skittish. All of those photos are 25-50% crops. All were shot from around 15-20'+ with mkII and 400mm+1.4tele.

this whole series is very well done the second picture of the Tananger is a real beauty ,,, all the shots are exposed nicely and composition is nice as well ,,, you should keep posting bird pics ,,, your very good at it

Wow, hard to add any comments that have not been said, outstanding series. I like the Tanager, Catbird, Warbler; heck I like them all.
