Does anyone have a standard contract or agreement they use when taking on jobs.

Just getting started doing weddings.

My contract comes from my professional association. Since i'm in New Zealand my contract is useless to you, you should look locally to find a contract.

i use a modified version of the one in this book:

but i've seen some pretty solid ones for free online. always good to have a lawyer look over it though, just to make sure.

Get a lawyer.
There is no such thing as a standard contract. Your business is unique, and so are your terms, and they need to be clearly expressed in a most objective way. Even if you do write your own, it would still be good to have it looked over by someone who knows law.
