For no other reason than to celebrate the fact that it is 5.30pm and I am still at my desk and will be for another 3 hours.

Which football/soccer team do you support? (if any)

I'm a Liverpool fan (and season ticket holder).

DAMIAN

I am out of this stuff these days. All my kids played soccer, and my daughter plays in Oxford for Oxfam.

In my early 20's I played a "few trial games" of rugger with the Montreal Wanderers. But I was hopeless as "Wing 3/4's". I had "0" experience, and I relied on my frigntened legs to save me from Liverpoolinas et al who were starting out in Canada.

I do love to watch the World Cup .... but... some of those "riots" tick me off.

HOWIE

Thanks for introducing us to your Dad. If I were in your shoes, I too would back Liverpool!!

Is that Oxford in England?

I played rugby at school - but gave up when the other boys got bigger than me.

Liverpool born and bred so naturally I support Liverpool. Too poor as a scally kid to watch them. Only ever seen two games, first was Emlyn Hughes' testimonial V's Borussia Munchengladbac or Munchenbrokeback or something, anyway they were German, and then second was V's Aston Villa just up the road last season. We won both. I am their lucky fan ;-) Can't ever get tickets otherwise but will try again this season to see one of the Brum teams play them.

There's only Villa to choose from - Birmingham and West Brom got relegated last season.

Hi guys,

Just thought I would add my two pennies!

I follow/support Burnley FC for my sins. Originally hailed from there, hence the reason for the support.

Not been to a game for a few years but still keen to know how they fair each week.

Thanks
