Hey everyone I'm new to this site and to this camera...But I bought the camera exactly 32 days ago and I finaly got around to using it on a recent vacation...But I never tried to install the software that came with the camera until now..But when trying to install it I keep getting errors,so now I try to see whats going on with it and notice that the disc itself has a huge scratch on it right from the factory packaging....
So now I contact Canon via e-mail and a tech returns and e-mail back stating that that if the camera was bought within 30 days they'll send me a replacement for free and if the camera was purchased 30 days or more then I'd have to buy the new software...Now that leaves me kinda screwed so is there an alternate way of getting a copy of this software or could I possibly just get a card reader and use the software that comes with that???

Any input would be greatly appreciated...

This isn't that big of a deal. I believe one of the programs is Zoombrowser. You'll be glad you didn't download that one. Some like it but not many.
There are alternatives. A popular program is http://www.breezesys.com/. A free one is http://www.irfanview.com .
The drivers and such should be downloadable from Canon.
