Now that dragonfly season is almost over here in NH, we're waiting on grasshopper season. I caught this very young one out in my front yard. See how his "shell" is almost see-through?
I used manual focus instead of macro focus. I set the camera to manual focus, then turned the dial to get the closest focus the camera would give me. Then I focussed on the grasshopper by moving the camera in & out until I saw a sharp image on the LCD.
