Urban Artist

[Marty_Oz]

A local urban artist.
His tools and his canvas.
These are from a series of tunnels where grafitti artists work.
I didnt take a flash, so the images were controlled with iso and speed.
I like the colours of the first image.
And I like the dark mood of the second.
Any comments appreciated.

I think it is a good place for such art. It improves teh look of the raw urban concrete wasteland that it was before, and keeps the graffiti artists from vandalizing someone's fence, building, etc.

Thanks guys,
I have to get down on my knees in these areas to get the perspective/angles I like to shoot with.
Its a bit worrying whats around, but sometimes you just have to do things.
I do have one reminder of my visit, my newish skate shoes that I wore that day have an unusual smell, hard to describe, but a mixture of chemicals and paint would be my best description.
Mental note, dont wear you best sneakers when walking in smelly tunnels.

Hey Roger...
waterproof boots are needed if we want to fully explore this tunnel.
I got to a point where you would have to walk through one foot deep water to continue any further through the tunnel.
And bring a big scary dog if you have one...!!! who knows what we could find.
