Nice photo Gail.
It is unfortunate that half the photo is in sunshine and the rest shaded. One and a half birds being white are blown out. (Whites too bright) That's a tough one.
I like how they are in a row. The object on the bottom is distracting. I would avoid cropping it out but rather clone stamp it out to keep the photo ratio and overall compisition.
The second photo is also too bright but still a cute shot. :)

Absolutely. Look for the clone tool in the tools pallet. It will look like a rubber stamp.
Click that tool and then right click anywhere on your image to change the tool size.
When using the tool click Alt and hold on the keyboard. You will see the circle change to a "crosshairs" type cursor. Where ever that appears when you type Alt is where you select from your image. Release Alt and left mouse click the area's you want to fill in.
You can set the opacity on the top of the screen.
Play around with it. You'll find that a feathered edge brush will give you the best results.

I love that first picture but yeah, unfortunate lighting.
That second one...I would probably crop or clone out that shrubbery on the right since it seems to just be...there...without seeing the rest of it.

Your editing is much much better. Now that you've found the clone tool you won't be able to live without it. :)
The last photo is quite cute too. At least the ducklings anyway. The mother looks a little worse for wear or is that the type? Never saw one like her before.

Thanks for the comments, I really love the clone tool. I never knew there was such a thing. Yes it's very neat.
About the ducking I really don't no just a duck from a park near me. Where I go offen to relax and take a daily walk and look at all the pretty view, ducks. I thought it was cute the littles ones.
