Please keep in mind you are talking to the technically challenged...
I have the 300D, and the software version 6.1 is installed on my computer. I've now bought the 350D, and will be using both cameras. I've tried to install the new software, version 11.1, that came with the 350D, but keep getting a message saying the wizard was interrupted and software not installed. Can anyone help?

Try uninstalling the old software first.

Some of the components of the old 300D software won't uninstall - same message appears about being interrupted. I turned off all programs inc Norton, same thing. I can reinstall the old version, but not take it all off, and I can't install the new one. I am logged on as the administrator. Guess I'll have to get an IT person locally to help me. This is frustrating:evil: I like to shoot in RAW, and can't with the XT until I get this resolved:evil: On topo of that it's raining (shouldn't complain we needed it, haven't had significant rain since November 05) so can't go out and shoot anything anyway, which would relieve the frustration;)

Did you try using the "upgrade" downloads available at various Canon web sites? they should be willing to go right over the older versions.
What of the older components won't uninstall? Did you get a message that uninstall was complete but x files, y directories or z registry keys weren't cleared? If so, have you tried manually removing them? Have you checked "Add/Remove Programs" for stray othe Canon applications that may have separate entries?
