What's the best way to take photos of objects like this:
http://upload.tharaka.net/files/IMG_2404_.jpg
That was taken with a 550ex bounced off the whole room.
I need a way to get rid of most, if not all the shadows.
I tried out a light tent, but that didn't get rid of shadows, it did help a bit with reflections however, and it was drastically darker.
If I placed the object on a light box would that help?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I don't think it gets much better than you did there.
There are free lessons on the web which give examples of different lighting scenarios. They use an 8 Ball (from pool) and light it in many different ways to show an ever decreasing shadow and different "highlights" on the ball.
I'll try to find it for you and provide the link.

Try suspending the object or putting something underneath to raise it off the floor. Then light more under the object to get rid of the shadow. The light tent should help more than the image you posted. This is an image of my camera and a lens I took just using my light tent with two lights on either side.

Putting it on a lightbox and using a lightent should get rid of most all shadows. You will have to balance the lighting from the tent with the underlighting from the box, and it may be difficult to balance the color from the two sources unless you use the same type of lights to light the tent as the lights in the box.
