required resolution

Hi,

If I wan't to sell pictures to magazines, newspapers, etc. What kind of resolution do they require for printing? What's the minimum they ask?

As far as I know, for good magazine printing you need 300 dpi.

300 dpi = 300 pixels per inch.
For a 4 mp camera (2272x1704) the maximun the picture will be is : 7.5 x 5.6in

However, I migh be wrong.
