Well don't feel bad, I did the ultimate the other day; hubby and I went to Mystic Aquarium here in CT, and as we were leaving, I took a shot that was completely over exposed, went to delete it and pressed "delete all". Grrr.....

Hi Joytek,
Try this software - free as well - it works fine.
PC Inspector File Recovery
from
http://www.convar.de
In the meantime DO NOT delete or install anything else onto the harddrive where the image was - this can make recovery much less certain.
All the best, let me know how you go on.

If you have Norton Systemworks, you can retrieve 'deleted files,' assuming you haven't installed any new programs....
Systemworks is also good for defragging your hard drives, yada.
FWIW,

You might want to tell us where the file was when it got deleted. Was it still on the CF card? Had you transferred it to your hard disk? Was it still in RAW format, or TIF? It makes it easier to find if you remember the exact filename. Then use one of the utilities like PC File Inspector to located it and then recover it.
