Eyepiece Extender???

Why are these so damn hard to find??? Sure, I have found them on Ebay for almost twice the MSRP. I know I want one, anyone know where I can get one?

Rumor has it that it needed a minor redesign to fit the 10D better. I got mine several weeks ago (after being on order for around 3 months) at my local shop so I would think they would be starting to get easier to find now. (There were about 20 on order at my shop.)

I had been on the B&H list for months. I finally got a message that it was in stock and I immediately tried to palce an order only to find they were NIS again.

Finally got one on E-bay for about $5 more than list price. I found the fit quite good and have not had it fall off as some users have reported.

I just checked eBay, and there are several available for 'Buy It Now' at $29.50 (plus $5.00 S&H). For some reason, there's one that's been bid up to $32.50 with almost a day to go. It makes one wonder why people want that one so badly, but I guess that's an auction for you.

I just can't bring myself to pay effectively double for the privelege of having it right away. It looks like it will be a nice addition to the camera, but not an essential one. Guess I'm getting cheap in my golden years. Besides, my local camera shop thinks he'll have one in in a few days, and I have two more on order with Canoga Camera. (My reasoning is as follows: if you're going to pay double, might as well get two of them---besides, I lose things.)
