I really like this shot, but there are a few things I would change:
- the waterskier (or is there something else in the water behind the boat?) doesn't add anything to the picture
- the glittering in the bootom and left top are distracting.
I would suggest a crop like this:

Might be too boring for most, but I like simple pictures with a strong composition.

I think the lone person in the water is great.

In the original photograph we have a single person in the water waiting in all that water (endless as there are no borders to it)

The only action is the glint of the sun bouncing off the ripples in the water.

No motor blaring, no birds flying past, or other distractions.

The photo though is cropped too close to the skier I think, but otherwise, I think this photo works as is. (I didn't at first, but I do now.)

Too much white space. Could've used polariser to cut glare. Subject (boat) not really interesting.
