The other day was bright but overcast and found this one bloming iris amongst many that were past their prime.
Let me know what you think.

I like the first one, but the color on the second isn't good. Maybe boost the saturation of the first. I don't like the petal getting cut off on the second one. Maybe move back. Plus I don't think this is the type of flower that lends itself to a shot from that perspective.

Frame the first shot and discard the second.
The first shot is beautifully in focus everywhere it needs to be. The only exception is the petal on the lower half of the frame, but that is OK, because it helps to push the eyes back up.
I like the caution used in the framing, the petals almost kiss the frame on all three sides.
The colors are wonderfully rich without being artificially saturated, and the whites still have texture.

Second shot:
Too much out of focus.
Top petal cut off.
Distracting yellow in background (which can be fixed but why bother, the above are fatal flaws.
