nice start.

as just a personal preference I'd like to see just one image as the background instead of it being tiled, probably worse for me on a 24" monitor, but I'm sure other resolutions will notice this as well

To me the gallery page looks tiled.

The site looks tidy and functional. I don't see any "tiled" effect.

In the programming section, the pictures are superimposed over the text, making it very difficult to read.

How many hours of work has it taken you to get this far?

If you have time, please check out my gallery. I have spent a LOT of time getting it to where it is today. In the very near future I plan to bring out a new release of the site.

P.S. Remember a web site is only finished when it is a cobweb.

coreypolis - my screen resolution is 1024 * 768. Here the above web site looks fine. It looks like the site was not designed for anything higher.

BTW, I don't know many people with a 24" monitor. Lucky you!

yeah we are the minority, but the thing is that the page should be optimized for everyone. a little html can fix that, but this looks like a frontpage design.
