Thought I would share this series I did for some clients that wanted that "country" look.

Love the first one, though you might want to be careful where she puts her hand, and angle her left hip out a bit (I think it looks good, but she might think her butt looks big).
Love the concept of the second one, but I'd like to see a little more light on their faces. Maybe another trip through PS...
Love the third one as it is!
Awesome stuff!

I agree with Jamie about the unflattering angle in the first one. They are all nice though, my favorite is the second one (personally I would add a bit more contrast to them all..)

To be honest I never noticed the unflattering pose on the first one, although I do agree looking at it now. Definitely could have been improved upon.
Unfortunately I could not talk an assistant into my 1 1/2 hour drive I made at 5:30 am to go do this shoot to assist me with some "reflector help". Hard to find good help these days ;)
I appreciate the feedback, always nice to hear.. .thanks

...love the second shot. It might need a little PS work, though. (Contrast for sure)

Feel free to show me what you had in mind as far as contrast goes. I am tinkering with it in PS and contrast adjustments doesn't seem to do it for me.
I am not sure that this is a better version or not. I did shadow/highlight and a slight contrast adjustment.

I will be interested to hear which images they liked. Here is another that I liked, but hey... what do I know?

DCM - these are really nice images and I pretty much agree with all the above statements. For some reason though I'm not digging the edit of them standing in the grass. Maybe it's just my monitor but now it looks overdone. I am impressed though and I think your clients will be happy..... good job!

More like this, though I only took a quick pass at it so I'm not 100% happy. Still a little cool for me...
PS was Kubota Digital Fill Flash on faces followed by Daily Multi Vitamin (both from the Kubota Artistic pack 2)
The last shot you posted (leaning on the fence) is the strongest of an excellent series. The lighting on it is beautiful! They're going to be psyched!

These shots were definitely hurt by the compression. Hopefully the originals don't look like this.
For the grass shots, I'd pump the contrast through Brightness/Contrast before going to Shadows/Highlights. I'd tone down the work that you did in Shadows/Highlights and use the Midtone Contrast slider within that menu as well. Put it up maybe 5, 10, or 15 notches and see what you get.
Afterwards, see what you can do in Ccurves.
The photo has a ton of potential, but it could really benefit from some processing.
Where did you take it? Not specifically, but what sort of location?

It was shot in Troy, TX, on his parents land. The grass photos is acutally a wheat field.
I am not sure how to resize my photos without them getting jpeg artifacts. I shot all of these in RAW, so not worries there.

I definitely need to find someplace around where I live like that. I love the setting.
How does the photo look after the edits that I suggested?

#2 is great, but i agree the contrast could be bumped up a bit. i think the angle in #1 looks fine, but I guess that's up to the bride!

I like 'em, good work! Stop messing with the photo in the field in photoshop, the original's good and the modified versions look fake.
