Hello,

My software was working great with my camera for about a year. I recently had to uninstall zoombrowser ex, so I reinstalled it from the solution disk now it won't detect my camera. I know it's not a problem with my camera because I've viewed my pictures from my camera on my television with the A/V cord. I downloaded the updated TWAIN driver and that still didn't work. I think that my computer is reading the ports because they're listed in my device drivers window in control panel/system. Does anyone have any idea of what I can do to get my software to detect my camera? I've reinstalled the software like three times now??? Please help!!!

Thanks,
erosenda

What is your computer's operating system. I'm guessing Windows 98? So, you had this working before all along quite fine. Then you uninstalled the zoom browser software? Also, is this USB connection? I don't think this is a plug and play problem. I would start again from scratch...this time uninstall again and delete everything from the system registry as well. This is important in order to get a clean fresh install without old registries hindering you.

I have a similar problem. My win 98 PC does not recognize the camera. For me it never worked from the beginning. I installed the SW and de-installed and installed again. Never got it to work.
But I gave up on this problem. I am now using a CF card reader. I prefer this instead of connecting the whole camera to the PC.
I you can drag and drop the images much faster when using the CF card reader.

Win98 does not support the USB ports without special drivers.
I suggest that you upgrade to WinXP. Backup your data and images and do a format and clean install. This will solve a myrid of problems and also give you much better image handling. For imaging I suggest that 256 meg is the minimum memory for pratical usage. More memory is better than faster CPU speed. Get all you can afford, max out your mother board if possible.
