What should I do with my images?

Hello,
First thank you for creating and putting EE at people's disposal.
I have uploaded EE on my server. My images are on my hard disk and I do not understand what I am supposed to do with them. Should I create thumbnails and Web versions in Phototshop? Where in EE folder structure should I put them? I am really stuck here. Could you help me please? Thank you

You should create the various versions on your HD (IMatch is a good choice), after that you can load them up to your server. Now you have to fill in the path in EEadmin, and after that you can add the pics to you gallery. Sounds complicated, but it's easy. Study the FAQ, it's really straightforward.
The new EE 1.5 beta2 has a bunch of new features like resize and ftp upload, but you need a web server with the necessary software installed (some tips in the forum).

BTW: I can't find the download location of the EEngine 1.5 beta2 on the forum..... ;-)

Pekka, has been holding back on it (adding new features and bug fixes). He hasn't posted it to this forum yet.

I'm sure we'll see a big post with lots of "Woohoos!" when it finally is here.

Last Pekka posted about it, the ETA was Monday earlier this week.

Excuse me, I was just kidding about 1.5 beta2. It's like waiting for christmas dinner - excellent stuff is always prepared with fresh ingredients - so it's better to wait until the meal is cooked at the best point.

Am I correct in assuming that the thumbs and micro thumbs and all the variants of the images need to be created away from EE offline.... its not automatic.......?

I thought you added a pic to the database and all the other image variants were created automatically....... is that not right?

EE1.5 creates and distributes everything using ImageMagick/GD/IMagick and ftp. Only thing YOU have to do is to set up required sizes and paths (once) and upload original photos to server (using either form or ftp).
