Please help! I bought my D60 last fall and have been traveling the country writing and photographing for the last year.
I have been using Zoombrowser 3.4 supplied by Canon out of desperation with Windows XP. After shooting more photos then I care to admit, I clicked over yesterday and get this bizarre error message.
"The database fileC:......has an old format. Please change to the new format (the change is to great for the update menu to deal with) (This version of Zoom...uses database format 8.0, the file format is 0.0)
Please open or create another database using the database menu command."
What does this mean? There are NO photos to be found and although I have backed up 90% onto CD-rom there are some important ones I can no longer access!
I am not at all techno savy so I really need some help to get this resolved. I have tried to call the man who actually sold me the camera to no avail and can't get an actual telephone number for Canon that works and would gladly pay whatever it costs for technical support to recover my work.
I did read that most of you are unhappy with the upgrades and truthfully I am terrified upgrading might erase what I can't seem to find at this moment.
I am absolutely desperate and would be eternally grateful for someone who is incredibly savy at all this.
Thank you in advance. Please respond as soon as you can.
Sincerely,
SheriG
