I'm thinking about getting that printer. My problem now is that I LOVE big prints. The way I print now on my HP or Canon (cheapo model), is to print multiple sheets then glue them to a board to make one big print (maybe 40"x24")). Of course, it's never perfect, but from a distance, it looks just fine.
The 2200 prints a max of 13x19. Does the printer settings menu allow you to print multiple sheets?(as in sheets composing a poster?) Or is it that all printers do that?!
Is there an alternative to printing this way? Without having to spend thousands!

On the Epson printer, you can load up roll paper and print the same 13" wide, but very long.

Yes, but for the width, I'm gonna need well beyond 13"..

MCouper,

I have this printer and love it. However, the widest it will print is 13". for you to make prints wider than this you will have to do what you've been doing. Other than that, you need to get a plotter.

BUT, to help you with your way, there is always a guy on eBay selling his software that will assist you. PS7 will not do what this man's software will do.

Food for thought. When you do get your new Epson 2200 printer, stock up on Lt Magenta and Lt Cyan. It drinks it.

Good luck

I love my 2200 as well. And you are right about the lt. cyan and lt magenta. I went through almost 2 cartrages by the time I replaced any of the others. And when it gets to 1/8th on the monitor, it's time to change because it's out.

I have seen software that will do multipage banners. I I can't remember if Photo Stitch or Panorma Factory will.

If you create the size canvas you want in Photoshop and then crop it into 13x19 inch chuncks, you should be able to print off each 13x19 page one at a time. Then you can put it back together. I've printed a number of 13x19 prints and it does a good job.

Mike,

I can get about 10 borderless 13x19's per Lt Magenta and Lt Cyan. The other 5 cartridges seem to last alot longer. When I order, I will order 3 of these per one of the others.

I guess I should have thought of creating a canvas and then cropping. But, I don't have a need for such a large canvas. But it's good advice to know.

Thanks

Bradley
