Folks, anyone using this? If yes, could you share some thoughts/observations?

Many thanks.

yep use it all the time. its like having a loupe when shooting LF 4x5 and 8x10. it is awesome for commercial product shoots where focusing is critical.

I can't offer you many personal observations yet, as I just bought mine! I read that a lot of other people wondered why they hadn't bought theirs ages ago, once they had the chance to put it into use. I bought mine because I take a lot of photos low to the ground and this makes it much easier to do. Also I've read that when taking portraits of people, the simple act of looking down instead of in their direction makes them feel less self conscious. Bizarre but apparently true.

Thanks, Johnny. Would you recommend it for portraits?

I don't use the portrait, since my type of work isn't exactly portraits.

However it is true about the looking at the subject.

I use my Contax with a look down viewfinder for my fashion work.
