Thanks to everybodys tips and hints on here my photos are slowly getting better. Still have some work to do, but my macro skills went up by many multiples thanks to the great folks on POTN.
Not sure what the little guy with the long antenni is...

Well done sir!
I'm not sure, but the first one looks like some type of midge.
Another hint (if you want it): While I am not 100% sure about the Quantaray lens, most lenses lose sharpness as the aperture get's smaller (larger f/number). The EXIF from the first picture said it was taken at f/22. It looks great, but you may be able squeeze some extra sharpness (and thus be able to crop closer and get a larger overall picture) if you stop down to f/11-f/14. I know I never go higher than f/14 on my zoom with tubes.
They both look great!

Excellent, thank you again for all your tips and help! I was reading another post on here and someone had mentioned to use higer f stops for greater DOF so that's where the f22 came from. I'll have a go with the f11 & f14 range...
Again, I can't thank you enough AirBrontosaurus! Had I paid $100 for a macro class and gotten your advise there, it would have been money well spent!

Great captures- think #1 is a small moth- there's quite s few species with that shape but I've never sen one with such long antennae- they are normally as long as the body.
Glad you got your first bubble blower :)

Your moth appears to Adela septentrionella, one of the Fairy Moths:

You might want to submit your nice photo to the Moth Photographers Group for their collection, as they don't seem to have this species:

Great shots - congratulations on the bubble. :) I've only one of those - and it was a spider! ;)
