Hi,

On my 10D I have the custom function set up to shoot in RAW plus embedded JPEG. When I go to Canon File Viewer the "Extract Save JPEG" option is greyed out. I've gone through the Software manual and the 10D instruction manual & it seems like it should be straight forward. I've searched the Canon website for help, but no luck.

Anyone else run into this problem ? If so, any advice ?

I appreciate the help.

I've never used the File Viewer to extract JPEGs, so I just checked and noticed that option was greyed out for me also. After a little playing around, I noticed that if I changed the option in the third drop-down box from the left from "Common Processing" to "EOS 10D" the option was then available to me. Check to see if that works for you also.

By the way, I'd recommend you get Breeze Browser and use that instead of File Viewer.

Thomas,

You're a genius... it worked, thank you. I guess I should have seen that coming. I figured it was something simple. I'm looking into Breeze Browser...I'm fairly new to the digital thing & after playing around for about 5 months, I'm just now starting to shoot in RAW. Figured I start with the Canon software & the more I shoot I'll go to BreezeBrowser or another program.

Thanks again for the assistance.
