Can someone tell me about using flash setups for portrait-type work.
I'm getting a 550ex to start, but I've always wanted a good lighting setup, and I wonder if a system of three or so flashes would suffice. The Canon 420 (forget the exact model number) is a bit cheaper and therefore more appealing as a slave.
So what is a good setup for portraits. Are these kinds of flashes powerful enough? Do I need a remote trigger in addition to the flashes?
Also, can someone please tell me about what kinds of stands and bounce materials are good for flashes?
