I am buying a Eos 10D and I ask for what lens to buy. I am looking at the EF 24-70 f/2.8L USM .
Can anyone advise me on this.
Also memory Cards
Battery packs
Good quality printer.

That's one of Canon's great L lenses. You won't be disappointed.
Consider the Sandisk Ultra or Ultra II 1GB CF cards. They are very quick and reliable.

There are aftermarket battery packs and chargers by Lenmar and Power 2000. I use the latter.

The Epson 2200 is a super printer.
Enjoy your 10D.

Camera - 10D (good choice)
Lens - I bought what I could afford for my use. See my signature.
Flash(Memory)Card - Sandisk - If you take a good number of photos in one setting, get a least a 256. I have a 512. Set on "Large/Fine" I can take 200 shots. Set on "Large/Normal", I can take about 375 shots.
Battery - I use the Canon 1500 BP-511 and an off brand 1350. Both work very well. With both, individually, I can take almost 450 shots before swapping. If you can, get the BG-ED3 Battery grip for about $150.00 or so and you'll be able to shoot all day. This grip holds two (2) batteries. However, if you do get the grip, use only the BP-511 batteries. It does not use the BP-512's
Printer - If you're printing normal 4x6, 5x7 or 8x10's, you can get the Epson 1280 or the equavilant of Cannons' photo printer. I think HP makes a higher end photo printer also. If you're looking producing larger prints up 13x19, then get the Epson Stylus 2200 for about $600.00. Canon makes the S9000 which I hear is a good one. I have the Epson 2200 and love it.
Good luck

The Epson 1280 prints up to 13x19 also.

I have a Canon24-70 f2.8 lens it is exceptionally sharp and I Love it. It is just a beautiful lens. There are a number of considerations when you purchase a printer. what is the largest size that you want to print? If it is only 4x6 then a Hi touch dye sub. I have a Canon 950 and and Epson 1270. both companies make excellent printers and you can't go wrong with either company. i just feel that Canon Camera will work better with a Canon printer. Canon makes a great little dye Sub I think CP20 and CP70. Figurea your needs and then do a lot of research. Canon printer INKJET are faster than Epson but the quality is just as good. I beleive that the Epson archives for alonger period of time.
