I've got my A70 2 months ago.
I find all my pictrues have a fix_position red dot! Is it a dead CCD pixel?
Canon told me they only change CCD for those have more than 5 dead pixel,my God!
How can I do?

Canon will repair it free of charge if a dot shows on all your images that you download to your computer. If they only display that way on your camera's LCD display, that's a different story, and that's probably what the Canon tech support rep. was referring to.

But I describe to them that all pictures downloaded to computer have a red dot, also I take two actual pictures
to show them the problem. It's sure the problem of CCD,not LCD. They can help me nothing!

I had the same problem once and what i was told was that canon does not take responsability for up to 4 burned pixels in the LCD and so only with 5 will it be covered by warratie. CCD is another matter altoguether and any burned pixel it has indicates a faulty unit that is entitled for imediate replacement.
Now, that was what canon told me last month when i had my problem so i sugest u reconfirm the situation if possible with a higher entity within cannon.
